FAQ

What is Aralya?

Aralya is a full-day active living centre in Bengaluru. Members take part in a structured daily programme comprising yoga, meditation, music, art, cognitive activities and community engagement. Founded by psychiatrists, Aralya also offers confidential psychology and therapy alongside the programme.

Is Aralya a senior-care facility?

No. Aralya is designed for every generation — including working professionals, adults seeking connection, and individuals navigating difficult periods, as well as those who wish to remain active later in life. It is not a senior-care home, a nursing facility or a hospital. It is a programme for staying well and connected at any age.

Who is the programme intended for?

Aralya is suited to anyone whose daily life has become less active, more isolated or less fulfilling than they would like, and who wishes to restore movement, creativity and genuine community. This applies equally to younger adults and to those in later life.

What does a typical day involve?

The day progresses from physical activity to mental engagement and community: movement and meditation, a shared meal, and afternoons of music, art and cognitive activity, with conversation and connection throughout. A full outline is available on our "A Day at Aralya" page.

Do I require a diagnosis or a referral to join?

No. Aralya is focused on prevention and everyday wellbeing rather than treatment of a specific condition, and membership is open to all. Should you also wish to access professional psychology or therapy, you are welcome to request it.

Is Aralya a hospital or a clinic?

No. Aralya is a wellbeing centre, not a medical facility. What distinguishes it is that it was founded by psychiatrists — so clinical insight informs everything we do, and confidential therapy is available should you wish, entirely separate from the daily programme.

How does membership work?

Aralya operates on a membership model, with options to suit differing needs. The most helpful first step is to enquire or to visit; we will explain how membership works and help you identify the right arrangement. Full details are on the Membership page.

What are the membership fees?

As membership is tailored to how you wish to participate, we share fees directly once we understand your requirements. Please contact us and we will guide you through the options. [If Aralya elects to publish fees, replace this answer.]

May I visit before joining?

Yes, and we would encourage it. The best way to understand Aralya is to spend time at the centre. We invite you to arrange a visit, experience the programme and meet the community, at no obligation.

Is the psychology and therapy service confidential?

Entirely. Therapy at Aralya is strictly confidential and operates separately from the daily programme, within its own private space. Information shared with your clinician remains confidential.

Who delivers the programme and the clinical care?

Aralya is led by experienced psychiatrists and psychologists, together with qualified instructors in yoga, movement, music and art. You can meet them on our Team page.

Where are you located, and how do I begin?

We are in HRBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar, Bengaluru. To begin, please submit an enquiry, message us on WhatsApp, or arrange a visit — we will assist you with the rest.
